Services
Clover Design provides a complete design service. To help you understand the route to get your project underway, please see the steps below:
Step One
Firstly you will need an initial site visit to discuss your ideas (free advice/consultation). We will give advice on design, what approvals are required, approximate build costs, timescales and our fee.
Step Two
Once instructed to proceed, Clover Design will carry out a measured survey of your property and draw up plans as existing. From the initial meeting and your brief, we will then produce sketch scheme designs of the options available.
Step Three
When you have decided on the scheme you would like to go ahead with, Planning Drawings will then be prepared for you approval and a Planning Application* submitted to the local council on your behalf. Once Planning has been granted we will take your project through to the final stage and produce detailed Building Regulation Drawings. These are more detailed in depth technical drawings that can also be used to obtain quotations from potential builders you may be considering. A Building Regulation application will also be submitted to Building Control. NB. Some projects may also need additional services such as a Structural Engineer (you will be advised of this at the start of the project).
* Not all projects require planning approval. Certain works may fall under permitted development - we will be able to advise this at the initial visit.
Step Four (if required)
Should you wish, Clover Design can assist you in obtaining prices for your project from local builders we have had experience of working with as well as builders of your own choice. Once a price has been agreed with your preferred contractor, Clover Design can provide a professional certificate certifying the works upon completion. This invloves making regular site inspections and liasing with the contractror and building control to ensure the works are carried out to the regulations, in line with the approved drawings and to the satisfaction of the client.
